Two Buckets Vineyard

– Our Story

Welcome to Two Buckets Vineyard

In 2002 on the north-facing slopes overlooking beautiful Lake Wanaka Duncan & Barbi McFarlane planted their first grapes to harvest Pinot Noir.

Every vine was lovingly cared for until it produced it's first harvest in 2007, the harvest was just two buckets. With artful humour friends nicknamed the vineyard two buckets and hence the name now.

Not to be deterred Duncan followed his passion for Pinot Noir and these days this little boutique vineyard situated on the lawns of one of Wanaka's premier housing sites produces some of the juiciest Pinot Noir in the region. Each vine is lovingly cared for and harvested by hand to ensure that every drop of wine put into each Two Bucket bottle is of the highest quality.

The Two bucket story is one of love, passion and most importantly humour. Fine ingredients for any friendship and we believe the best ingredients for any decent drop of Pinot Noir.

We hope you enjoy our site and please be sure to visit our cottage.
